Student Pass Renewal
- The visa renewal process is online.
- You must apply at least 3 months before your current pass expires to avoid any inconvenience.
- Make sure you are applying through your Siswa Mail.
Step 1 — Purchase Etiqa Insurance
Before submitting your renewal application, you must have a valid Etiqa Takaful insurance policy. For further information visit myumtakafulplan.com, contact etiqaagency.um@gmail.com, or join our insurance support group.
Step 2 — Apply Online for Visa Renewal
Submit your application through the online form below. Note: the form is only open on working days.

- Passport Number
- Student ID Number
- Alternate email address (other than UM Siswa Mail address)
- Telephone Number (preferably reachable via WhatsApp)

- Type of Current Student Pass
- Validity Date of Current Pass (Month / Day / Year)

Documents required to upload
Any error causes a delay in visa renewal — be careful when uploading your documents.
1. Passport copy — all pages including blank pages (in colour)
2. Academic Result / Progress Report

3. Attendance Report
Example: Semester II 2024/2025
- Do not combine your Attendance Report with your Confirmation Letter. Provide an Attendance Report only.
- For undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students: overall attendance must be at least 80%. If below 80%, an explanation letter signed by the Dean of Faculty must be provided.
- For Master's & PhD Research students: you may upload a Progress Report in this section instead.
4. Confirmation Letter from Faculty
The letter must state your current student status and be signed by the Dean, Deputy Dean, or Assistant Registrar only. It must be addressed to:

Upload the cover note — do not send the official receipt from Etiqa. Only the cover note is accepted.
