A quick landing plan for new international students. Save this page before you fly and keep your important documents in your hand luggage.
Report to the EMGS International Student Arrival Counter (ISAC). Do not use the automated e-gate when entering with an eVAL. Keep your eVAL, SEV or eVisa, offer letter and passport ready.
Check that your Special Pass has been stamped in your passport. Keep the passport safe and take a photo of the stamp for your records.
Use your confirmed UM pickup slot or arrange your own transport. During office hours, the recommended drop-off point is the One-Stop Centre at Perdanasiswa Complex.
Connect to mobile data, check into accommodation, access Siswa Mail, and check MAYA, UM Touch, SPeCTRUM and your faculty announcements.
Complete the mandatory post-arrival medical screening at an EMGS panel clinic or eligible university clinic. Keep the receipt and confirmation.
Allow time for the result to update in EMGS. When UM confirms the required progress, submit your passport to the UM Visa Office for Student Pass endorsement and MEV processing. Do not plan international travel while your passport is submitted.
