Bring your family and friends, and enjoy live persian music, a warm toasty fire, and lots of dancing!!!  WHEN: Tuesday, March 16th, 2010  TIME: 6:30 pm - 11 pm WHERE: University of Manitoba, “White Castle” area on the north side of campus, across from the Law department  NB!!! Also make sure you dress warm!!!=D  We are looking forward to seeing you all there!

4Shanbeh Soori is approaching and we need some volunteers to help us provide a FANTASTIC evening for you.

We need a volunteer who has access to a vehicle, to help bring the generator to the university in the afternoon on March 16th.

We also need volunteers who can help us with shovelling snow for about a half hour during noon time on March 16th. You’re guaranteed to have lots of fun!!!

We would also like a volunteer, who can help us set-up, and take-down all of the music equipment prior to and after the event.

If you have any questions about volunteering, please email us at umisamail@gmail.com, and we’ll do our best to answer your questions. UMISA would like to thank everyone in advance, who will be volunteering their time and effort to make this event a success!

 Also big thanks to Arman, who has already volunteered to buy and bring wood for the event. We really appreciate all your hard work!

Once again we are going to have a Persian Classical Music concert in our city. In this concert we will play and sing, for Iran, and in memory of Iranians who wrote the most moving and everlasting music on the pages of Iran’s history.

For all those who are attending the “Taste of Persia” event, taking into consideration the fact that every bar has a certain capacity limit, please try to show up no later than 10:30 pm - 11 pm to ensure that you will easily get in. Also DO NOT forget to bring a valid picture ID (driver’s license, etc…) with you, because without it you will not be able to get into the club. Republic has two entrances, so make sure you come through the entrance on princess street. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact one of our UMISA executives, and we will be more than happy to respond.

Persian party, Persian music and Persian dance at a club!

For the first time ever, we will be hosting a Persian social off campus.

TASTE OF PERSIA will be held in Republic night club. We would like to welcome everyone from our Iranian community and also from all other cultural backgrounds to come join us for a night of dancing and fun. Tickets are VIP , so you will not have to stand in the line to enter. With the purchase of a ticket you will receive a wrist band that will allow you to have access to  the VIP lounge and also main area of the bar. Make sure you keep the wrist band on  all times!

You are more than welcome to join us.

NB: PHOTO ID is required upon entrance to REPUBLIC.
