با تشکر از آقای رضا طارقیان بابت تذکری که دادند. فردا پنجشنبه ساعت 7 در Lounge GSA واقع در یونیورسیتی سنتر اتاق 217 مراسم معرفی اعضای جدید یومیسا و خداحافظی از اعضای فعلی برگزار میشود و بعد از مراسم معارفه فیلم فرش باد به کارگردانی کمال تبریزی پخش خواهد شد.
Farwell ceremony with the last UMISA executive team will be held Thursday, Oct. 1, at 7 pm in GSA lounge, 217 University Center. Then the new UMISA executive boards will introduce themselves and announce their programs. At the end an Iranian movie will be shown.

soccer

we registered a team for intramural league at U of M. Most players of this team are Iranian but we already have some players from other countries. We are still looking for more players to join our team. This year I am going to have some practice game if the weather permits; so the first practice would be on Friday, Sep 25 at 5:00 and the place is the soccer field right close to the outdoor tennis court of U of M. Since I have heard that there are several students who are interested to play soccer, this is the best opportunity to come out and get together. Even if there are some people who just like play for fun (not for team), they are more than welcome to come and play with us. Since I have no access to those people, would you please FW my message to UMISA website, maybe UMISA helps us to make a great team this year.
Just some quick reminders:
1) We have a Co Ed team, It means we should have at least two girls during the tournament, so no matter you are male or female; If you like to play soccer, come out from your home or office on Friday.
2) Those who will be accepted to play for team should have student card and gym membership at least for 4 months.

کاندیداتوری برای یومیسای جدید

سلام
با توجه به اینکه دوره خدمت اعضای فعلی یومیسا رو به پایان میباشد و گروه جدید یومیسا باید در حدود یک ماه آینده خود را به آمسو معرفی کنند، افرادی که مایل هستند خود را برای هر یک از پستهای یومیسا کاندید کنند میتوانند به یومیسا ایمیل بزنند (UMISAmail@gmail.com) و کاندیداتوری خود را اعلام نمایند. در این ایمیل باید نام، نام خانوادگی، پست کاندیداتوری و ایمیل فرد آورده شود. افراد از امروز تا پایان روز 20 سپتامبر فرصت دارند تمایل خود را برای کاندیداتوری اعلام نمایند.

پس از تلاشی طولانی مدت یومیسا توانست اتاقی در یونیورسیتی سنتر برای یومیسا از آمسو بگیرد. یومیسای آینده قادر خواهد بود که از آن محل برای ارائه خدمات به دانشجویان استفاده کند.

اگر دانشجوی اینترنشنال هستید و در Study permit شما این جمله نوشته شدهباشد که:
May accept employment on the campus of the institution an which registered in full-time studies
شما میتوانید با در دست داشتن پاسپورت، Study permit و SIN Card به ساختمان 300 کارلتون مراجعه نمایید و Manitoba Health Card دریافت کنید. با داشتن این کارت شما تحت پوشش بیمه منیتوبا قرار میگیرید و دیگر لازم نیست بابت بیمه اینترنشنال پولی به دانشگاه پرداخت کنید. با این کار شما سالانه حدود 400 دلار پسانداز خواهید کرد.
If you are international student and have a study permit with the following sentence:
May accept employment on the campus of the institution an which registered in full-time studies
Take your passport, Study permit and SIN card to the “300 carlton St.” and ask for Manitoba health card. You are eligible to apply for Manitoba health card which just takes you 10 minutes and it is for free. Then you do not need pay for “International health insurance” and could save around $ 400 per year.

Apartment for rent

Apartment building 140 Baylor Ave. Baylor Place it’s almost right behind Safeway at Pembina and Killarney.
its a 2 bedroom apartment (one master bed + other has a descent size room) and a big living room.
Rent include free Water and outside parking and also free heating at cold winters hahaha so important. So you Just pay for Hydro which is to me really cheap..
the 62/70 bus stops are right in front of the Apartment building going to university and going downtown. 6 min walking would be a main bus stop with a lot of other bus stops that go everywhere (this one is the one between 7/11 and Safeway..
The whole area there have everything you would need from video stores an different restaurants and delivery places to many other services.
the rent is 802 $ its not gonna go up before at least 6 months cause that’s when the contract is gonna end.
PS: I have 85.50 Credit with the Manitoba Hydro ( extra money that I payed).. Also I will move from here so the person who decides to stay here can take any thing they like from my apartment after i pack .. for example light stands, tv ..etc I won’t need it.
